New Food Show, New Hosts
and a New Tortilla Chip on a Mission
Food Network aired a "sneak peek" of their new show starring Gina and Pat Neely Sunday night. The show, "Road Tasted With the Neelys California Sun-Sational” featured four Southern California food entrepreneurs, Carlsbad Gourmet, Chuao Chocolatier , Sweet Cheeks Baking Company, and Whale Tails Tortilla Chips. The show will now be a weekly series featuring handcrafted food from across the country that can be ordered online and shipped to consumers.

Pat and Gina Neely are the first husband-and-wife team to host a Food Network show. Their original series prior to hosting “Road Tasted” was "Down Home With the Neelys" which debuted as the networks all-time No. 1 daytime show. It averaged more than 2.5 million viewers. The Neelys are now hosting 'Road Tasted” a show which travels the country looking for specialty stores and family-run businesses.
The Neely's (Pat and Gina) opened their new show Sunday night on television's Food Network with the discovery of pure organic goodness in a certified organic, kosher, non gmo, zero trans fat, naturally gluten free tortilla chip that is uniquely shaped like a Whale's Tail. This chip was started by a “surfing family” said Gina “that wanted to give back”.

The hunger to create a legacy of goodwill is what motivated the Kraszewski Family (Terry, Ric and their two daughter's Heather and Kara) of San Diego to create Whale Tails Tortilla Chips. These exciting new chips are seasoned with Hawaiian Alaea sea salt. This salt is unique to the islands and is naturally low in sodium and rich in trace minerals. Gina Neely said “what a delicious way to show you care. We'd all like to be a bit more earth-friendly, and there's no reason it can't start right now. These eco-smart chips are an easy way to get involved and you will make a big difference in the world we all share one whale tail shaped chip at a time.”

“The chips are available in two dozen Whole Foods stores in Southern California and several other independent stores; and aquarium cafeterias and gift shops all over the West Coast, East Coast and Hawaii. And you can even order on line at their website (whaletailschips.com) and this 'surfin family' will send them via UPS Ground right to your door.” said Gina's husband Pat Neely.

The Neely's had so much fun with these San Diego Food Entrepreneurs that they likened the experience to a second honeymoon. We are looking to more “on the road “ food discoveries from this couple as they travel across our country in search of the next great food idea.
